Bigger and Bolder 2024 Chevrolet Trax

Chevrolet is continuing their commitment to affordable, stylish SUVs with the announcement of an exciting improvement to its lineup – the bigger, bolder, completely redesigned, all-new 2024 Chevrolet Trax. All trims will start under $25,000. The 2024 Trax will have clean, sleek lines, with a lower, longer, and wider architecture than before. Performance

Don’t be fooled by the small size of the Trax – it’s also capable of great performance. The 2024 Trax will offer a turbocharged 1.2L engine, capable of 137 hp and 167 lb. ft. of torque. It will come with a standard six-speed automatic transmission. It’s a perfect choice for those who are looking to save money at the fuel pump, as it has a GM-estimated 30 MPG fuel economy.

Safety

Every 2024 Chevrolet Trax will come standard with Chevrolet Safety Assist, which will help to keep you safe while driving on Lexington roads. Chevy’s intuitive safety assist includes forward collision alerts with automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warnings, a following distance indicator, and IntelliBeam high assist. The 2024 Trax will also come with a rear vision camera and teen driver technology.

If you are not familiar with Chevrolet Teen Driver technology, it is an available system to help you coach your teen driver, even while you’re not in the car. It allows you to set a speed alert, a volume limit, and more. You can also view the industry’s first and only vehicle report card, which allows you to track your teen’s driving performance.

According to the CDC, almost half of teen drivers and passengers from 16-19 years old who died in car crashes in 2019 were unrestrained at the time of the crash. That is why Chevy developed the industry’s first Buckle to Drive feature, which doesn’t allow the driver to shift out of park for 20 seconds unless they buckle their seatbelt, with audible and visual alerts. This is essential, as teens and young adults often have the lowest seatbelt use rates.

Teen Driver technology is easy to set up – just enter a PIN to access the Teen Driver menu on the infotainment system and register a key. When a driver uses that key, Teen Driver will turn on.

Additional safety and driver assistance features will include available rear park assist and OnStar Safety and Security.

OnStar can save you from a potentially life-threatening situation. If you’re in a crash, built-in vehicle sensors can automatically alert an OnStar emergency-certified advisor to help. Additional OnStar features include:

• Stolen Vehicle Assistance: Helps law enforcement to help locate and recover your stolen vehicle as soon as possible
• Crisis Assist: OnStar advisors can provide critical assistance, special routing, and contact with loved ones in the case of extreme weather, a natural disaster, or a similar crisis
• Turn-by-Turn Navigation: A OnStar advisor can give you turn-by-turn directions when you get lost.
• Roadside Assistance: In the case of a flat tire, running out of gas, or another emergency, an advisor can call roadside assistance for you.
• Emergency Services: If you spot a road emergency, or have one of your own, push the red button to connect with an OnStar emergency-certified advisor. They can direct first responders to your location and help until they arrive.

Interior

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax is bigger and bolder, and that includes the interior. It will be 11 inches longer, 2 inches wider, will have 6 cubic feet more cargo space, and 3 inches more rear leg room than previous years. It was completely designed to keep you and your passengers comfortable, with up to 54.1 cubic feet of maximum cargo space.

There will be 60/40 split-folding second-row seats, making it easier than ever to bring your belongings along in the Trax. If you need to bring passengers along, there will be comfortable seating for 5 people.

Nothing is worse than getting in the car after a long workday and not being able to decompress because of the loud road noise. You won’t have to worry about that in the 2024 Trax – it will have standard active noise cancellation.

Technology

For all the tech lovers, you will fall in love with the technology in the Trax. It will be completely wireless, with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and charging. You will be able to stay connected, with an available built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.

In addition, the myChevrolet Mobile app remote technology comes standard with the 2024 Trax. This app turns your compatible smartphone into a command center for your vehicle. You can check your vehicle’s health with Vehicle Status, allowing you to see important vehicle details like the fuel level, tire pressure, and oil level. It also includes a remote key fob, vehicle locate, navigation, and real-time diagnostics/vehicle status.

Trims

There are five 2024 Chevrolet Trax trims to choose from: the ACTIV, 2RS, LT, 1RS, and LS.
