What’s New About the 2023 Renegade?

You might be wondering: what sets the 2023 Jeep Renegade apart from previous years’ models? This year, Jeep is no longer producing the entry-level Renegade Sport. Instead, it will continue producing the Renegade Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk trims, with the Jeep Renegade Latitude becoming the entry-level option. All models will have standard four-wheel drive; there will no longer be a front-wheel drive option.

Jeep also added some exciting new package options. The new Latitude Premium group includes fog lamps, a windshield wiper deicer, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, power eight-wat driver’s seats with two-way lumbar adjustment, and roof rails.

If you’re a fan of leather-trimmed seats, you’ll get those, plus all the previous features, in the Trailhawk Premium group. The Premium Lighting Group adds LED headlights, running lights, taillights, and fog lights. Add in the Elite group and Sun and Sound Group, which includes a dual-pane sunroof and a premium audio system.

The 2023 Renegade Limited will have standard adaptive cruise control and the option to add the Limited Elite group, which includes LED lighting, a windshield wiper deicer, auto high beams, and ParkSense parallel/perpendicular park assist.

You can also choose to add the new High Altitude package. It comes with 19-inch Granite Crystal wheels, neutral gray exterior accents, LED headlamps, Automatic High-Beam Control Headlamps, and ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist.

Jeep chose to replace the Sting-Gray and Bikini exterior colors for 2023 with Detonator Yellow and kept the rest of the previous exterior colors. The (RED) special edition, to continue Stellantis’ commitment to donate a minimum of $4 million to the Global Fund by 2023 to help fight health emergencies.

Comfortable Interior

Jeep describes the interior of the 2023 Jeep Renegade as a place “where comfort meets style.” When you step into the 2023 Jeep Renegade, you’ll be met with modern designs, plenty of space to store cargo, and comfortable amenities.

You will be able to breathe easy in the 2023 Renegade, with Jeep’s air filtration system. It minimizes airborne dust particles and keeps the interior fresh.

If you regularly carry cargo on your adventures, you will love the 60/40 split-folding rear seats. They fold completely flat for extra flexible storage. The 2023 Renegade will also have an adjustable cargo floor, which can be moved up for easy loading or moved down if you need more room. If you need even more space, you can move the front passenger seat forward.

One of the most iconic activities you can do in your Jeep is blast music with the wind blowing through your hair. You can do just that with the available Sun and Sound group, which pairs a nine-speaker premium audio system and a 560-watt amplifier with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

Those Kentucky winters can get rough, but the 2023 Jeep Renegade will have you covered. Its all-weather features include an available heated steering wheel and available heated front seats, dual-zone automatic temperature control, and heated exterior mirrors to prevent ice and fog build-up.

Powerful Capability

If you love off-roading on Kentucky trails, you’ll love the 2023 Jeep Renegade. It has the Selec-Terrain Traction Management system, which optimizes the engine and drivetrain systems to help the Renegade adapt to snow, sand, and mud. If you need further control, the Trailhawk models feature Rock mode and Hill Descent Control.

The 2023 Renegade features a choice between two available 4×4 systems. The first is the Jeep Active Drive System – a fully automatic, single-speed Power Transfer Unit. The second is Jeep Active Drive Low (exclusive to Trailhawk models), which includes a 4-Low mode with an impressive 21:1 crawl ratio that’s perfect for overcoming tricky obstacles.

As you probably surmised, the 2023 Renegade Trailhawk is the Renegade most equipped for off-roading. According to Jeep, it passed several demanding tests with flying colors. It’s able to cross creeks, streams, and puddles up to 19 inches deep due to its high air intake, sealed electrical connections, and moisture-resistant body openings. The precision steering systems and optimized wheelbases make it easy to maneuver tight, treacherous trails and navigate around obstacles on the trails. Great suspension and axle articulation work together to keep the Renegade’s wheels on the ground and boost traction. The Renegade Trailhawk also has protective underbody components, such as its skid plates, to make it easy as possible to drive over rocks, logs, or anything else you may encounter on the trail.

The 2023 Renegade will be powered by a 1.3L direct-injection MultiAir Turbo four-cylinder engine, which features up to 29 highway mpg, 177 horsepower, and 210 pound-feet of torque. When you pair it with the nine-speed automatic transmission, it has stop/start technology, which makes the Renegade efficient.

If you need to tow your jet ski or a small boat to the lake, the 2023 Renegade has you covered. The factory-available Trailer Tow Package will allow it to tow up to 2,000 pounds. The 2023 Renegade will also come with a four-pin wiring harness and a Class III receiver hitch.

Intuitive Technology

The 2023 Jeep Renegade makes it easy for you to stay connected.

With the Uconnect 4C NAV system, you can access infotainment features, drive-enhancing tools, and more. It will have an 8.4-inch touchscreen, equipped with Apple CarPlay support and Android Auto compatibility.

While you drive, your passengers will be able to access the internet to post, search, download, etc. with the available 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, that covers up to eight devices within a 50-foot radius. You’ll be able to keep track of your speed, navigation, and more while you drive with the available 7-inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display.

If you have an Amazon Alexa at home, you can connect to your Renegade while at home using your voice and the available Jeep Skill for Alexa. You can ask Alexa to check how much fuel you have, send destinations, and start your Renegade.

You can choose to add Family Drive Alerts, on which you can set boundary limits, monitor your speed, and check your Renegade’s location on the Jeep app.

If you want to use remote access and key information about your Jeep, you can add the available SiriusXM Guardian. It includes Send & Go, which lets you search for locations and points of interest on your smartphone and transfer directions to your UConnect 4C NAV when you are ready to go. SiriusXM Guardian will also send a monthly Vehicle Health Report to your inbox, which points out issues and keeps you updated on the condition of your Renegade.

For your convenience, the 2023 Renegade also has an available Keyless Enter ‘n Go passive entry system, which automatically unlocks the door when you grab the handle and when the key fob is within 5 feet of your Renegade.

The 2023 Renegade will have blind spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection, which rely on radar-based sensors to find other vehicles in your blind spots or behind you. If needed, it will alert you of a potential collision.

It will also have a full-speed forward collision warning with active braking, which will alert you when it detects a potential front collision. If you don’t stop and the threat is still detected, it can automatically engage the brakes. LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist will be available, which measures your position within lane boundaries and can correct your vehicle back into its lane if you drift.

Standard on the Renegade Limited, Adaptive Cruise Control can automatically adjust your driving speed to keep a preselected distance from the vehicle in front of you.

The 2023 Renegade will also come with a variety of parking technologies, which include:

• ParkSense Front Park Assist gives visual and audible indications, alerting you to the distance between the front and rear of your vehicle and any obstacles when moving forward.

• Parkview Rear Back-Up Camera helps bring hidden rear objects to your attention by displaying them on the Uconnect touchscreen so you can react in time.

• ParkSense Rear Park Assist uses sensors to alert you if you’re too close to an obstacle while backing up and can even stop your vehicle at low speeds when an object is detected.

• Parallel And Perpendicular Park and Exit Assist controls the steering wheel and directs you with audible and visual instructions to engage the gear position and operate the brake and accelerator, to help make getting into and out of parking spots simple.

The 2023 Jeep Renegade is constructed out of advanced high-strength steel and has seven airbags, helping to protect you and your passengers.
