What to Look Forward to in the 2023 Chevrolet Suburban
Do you love taking road trips? The 2023 Chevrolet Suburban might be the perfect vehicle for you. It’s slated to start production this month, with sales starting later this year. Keep reading to get a first look at the 2023 Suburban.
What’s new about the 2023 Suburban?
Perhaps the most exciting feature for the 2023 Suburban is Super Cruise — an industry-first hands-free assistance technology for compatible roads. Super Cruise allows you to drive hands-free on more than 200,000 miles of roads in the U.S. and Canada. It also includes adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and lane centering.
In addition to Super Cruise, the 2023 Suburban will come in three new colors: Silver Sage Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat. The LS, LT, RST, and Premier models will also come with an accessory black grille with Chevrolet lettering.
How much room will the 2023 Suburban have?
The 2023 Chevrolet Suburban is arguably the perfect road trip vehicle.
If you’ll have a family in tow, all passengers will be comfortable – with 42” of legroom in the second row and 36.7” of third-row legroom. If you’re traveling alone, you’ll have more than enough room for all your belongings. With the second and third rows folded down, you get a booming 144.7 cu. ft of cargo volume.
Whether you’re traveling within Kentucky or across the country, you and your passengers will be comfortable in the Suburban.
What type of engines will be available?
There will be three engine options for the 2023 Suburban. The standard engine is a 5.3L V8 with 355 hp and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. The second engine is a 6.2L V8 with 420 hp and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. The final engine is a 3.0L I6 Turbodiesel, with 277 hp and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. All have a 10-speed automatic transmission.
There will be a maximum towing capacity of 8,300 lbs. – perfect to tow your fishing boat to a nearby Kentucky lake.
The 2023 Suburban will have all the tech features you need.
The 2023 Suburban comes with a 10.2” Chevrolet infotainment system on the LT and above, complete with Google built-in compatibility, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. It will also come standard with satellite radio, Bluetooth, five USB-A ports, and one USB-C port.
You will feel safe and secure in the 2023 Suburban.
In addition to the modern infotainment system, the 2023 Suburban will have advanced safety technology. Every 2023 Suburban will come standard with Chevy Safety Assist, which includes:
- Automatic emergency braking
- Forward collision alerts
- Lane-keep assist with lane departure warning
- Following distance indicator
- Front pedestrian braking
- IntelliBeam auto high beams
The 2023 Suburban will have advanced driver-assistance technology.
A driver alert package, including lane change alert, side blind zone alert, and rear cross-traffic alert, will be available on the LS, LT, RST, and Z71 trims. The High Country and Premier trims will have the option to add a head-up display – a projection on the windshield that displays vital information, so the driver never has to take his or her eyes off the road.
Other driver assistance features that will be available are:
- HD Surround Vision
- Standard Front and Rear Park Assist
- HD Rear Vision Camera
- Rear Pedestrian Alert
- Rear Camera Mirror
- Adaptative Cruise Control and Automatic Emergency Braking
