2017 Chevy Trax Lexington, KYBeing one of the hottest growing vehicle segments in the automotive industry, baby crossovers are increasingly becoming more popular. Therefore, it is no surprise why the Chevrolet Trax has taken that market by storm. While already encompassing high-quality amenities and sporty styling, the Trax gets a complete makeover for the 2017 model year. A new interior look, upgraded amenities and safety features, along with a new front end can all be seen in the 2017 Chevrolet Trax. Read on to discover all the new enhancements seen in this baby crossover.

What’s New: Front End

The updated exterior styling on the 2017 Chevrolet Trax is a new front grille that encompasses the stacked dual-port look, which can be seen on other, newer Chevrolets as well. Other front end design elements include new headlights that wrap around the front fenders. While the entry model features halogen reflectors, moving up to the higher levels gives way to fog lamp chrome bezels that add a little exterior flair.

What’s New: Rear End

For the 2017 model year, the rear end has been slightly modified. Updating the design to feature new dual tail lamps and LED lighting (on higher trims), the 2017 Trax’s rear end has never looked prettier. Combined with the front end exterior modifications, the Trax certainly puts on an entirely new face for the 2017 model year.

What’s New: Inside

One of the most noticeable changes to the interior design is the instrument panel. Redesigned with convenience and style in mind, the new Trax instrument panel features a new tachometer, speedometer, and digital information cluster, all enhancing the interior look to make it more modern.

What’s New: Technology

Part of the interior upgrade for the 2017 model year equips the Chevrolet Trax with advanced technology. With a new 7.0-inch touch screen, this infotainment system features Chevrolet’s MyLink system, which includes connectivity and integration with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This 2017 Trax will also have the option of 4G LTE with a Wi-Fi hot spot, allowing for up to seven devices to be connected at one time. No matter where you go, the Trax features just the right amount of convenience and connectivity for both drivers and passengers.

What’s New: Safety

Featuring all the standard and same safety features as the previous model years, all 2017 Traxes are built with safety in mind. New and standard safety features seen in the 2017 models are 10 air bags, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning. One of our favorite safety features seen in all 2017 Trax models is the rearview camera. There are also optional safety features, including OnStar, which helps in emergencies.

Of course, all the features seen in the previous model years cannot be overlooked. Featuring the same engine as the last two years, the powerful output in the 2017 Trax produces the same smooth, controlled, and fuel-efficient drive. But don’t just take our word for it; stop by our showroom and take a test drive today.
