Chevy Dealer Lexington, KY

Dan Cummins Chevrolet

Being a Chevy dealer in Lexington, KY, there’s a lot of competition amongst dealerships to go above and beyond for customers, offer the best combination of product and service, and be loved by the community.

At Dan Cummins Chevrolet, we’re not in it for the competition, or to be the #1 dealer in country, we’re simply a family-owned and operated business that prides itself on being upfront with customers and providing the absolute best experience possible. Whether that means going above and beyond to help a customer find the best Chevrolet vehicle to fit their lifestyle, or taking the extra time it takes to solve a repair issue for a customer that needs their vehicle sooner rather than later.

Doing great work is simply apart of our character, and it’s something we teach and expect from every single employee who joins the Dan Cummins family.

Interested in how we go started as a Chevy dealership in Lexington, KY? Let’s take a quick trip down memory lane!

History of Dan Cummins Chevrolet

Started in 1956 by Sam Cummins, the business has remained in the Cummins family for three generations. Sam’s son Dan took over the business for his father in the 1970s, working hard to make a name for himself, and his family, in the Lexington, KY-area. He knew that reputation was everything in the car business, and much of the success Dan Cummins Chevrolet has seen can be attributed to that reputation.Dan’s son Josh Cummins purchased the business in 2010, but decided to keep his father’s name, as it had become synonymous with quality service in Northern Kentucky. Since taking over the business, Josh has been hard at work to continue his family’s legacy and has seen some truly incredible results.

When Josh started running the dealership in 2010, the business was selling roughly 125 cars per month. Now, just five years later, Dan Cummins Chevrolet is averaging 550 cars per month, making it one of the most successful Chevy dealers in Lexington, KY.

In 2013, Josh and his team remodeled the dealership to bring a new look and feel to the classic Chevy dealership experience. And while those went according to plan, the dealership’s success over the past five years is allowing them to remodel even more to help make customers fall in love with Dan Cummins Chevrolet all over again with each new visit.

Why Chevrolet? What Makes it So Special

Well, for car guys, loving Chevy is all about loving trucks. Josh and his siblings grew up riding in the back of their dad’s Silverado after baseball games to get ice cream. To the Cummins family, Chevrolet really represents the American dream as an icon.

And Josh is not shy about his country upbringing, as he and others at the dealership know that for Kentuckians, trucks are status symbols, and driving a Chevy also means driving the absolute best pickup trucks that America has to offer.

I’m sure many of you out there can share similar memories, despite not belonging to a family that runs one of the Chevy dealerships in Lexington, KY. The brand simply resonates with people, brings them together, and creates joy. It’s a huge part of American history, and to the Dan Cummins team, it’s an honor to be along for the ride.

Chevy Vehicles We’re Looking Forward to in 2016

While we’re obsessed with Chevy trucks, the brand features one of the most diverse line-ups of any manufacturer out there today. Some are performance-focused, while others are focused on making a change in the industry. Here’s Dan Cummins Chevrolet top picks for the three best 2016 Chevy models:

2016 Chevy Volt

While the first generation Volt made people rethink what a hybrid vehicle can really be, the 2016 Volt is taking everything the company learned from its first plug-in hybrid and turning it up to 11. With a fully-electric range that can reach up to 50 miles on a single charge, drivers can take control of how they use fuel by deciding to use electric-only mode as often as possible. Not only does this produce no emissions, it’s also extremely efficient, at 102 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent), its about 250% more efficient than its own gas-only MPG average.

2016 Chevy Camaro

Coming off of its hugely successful fifth-generation model run, it was clear that impressing Camaro owners with the sixth generation was going to be a tough battle. But when GM announced the classic muscle car was going to be redesigned to be lighter, more aerodynamic, more powerful, more efficient, and have an entirely redesigned interior, there were no complaints from even the most hardcore fans of the fifth generation model.

2016 Chevy Cruze

Since its inception, the Chevy Cruze has been one of the brand’s hottest sellers, thanks to its perfect size for a compact car, incredible features, and extremely competitive price point. Fast forward to the 2016 model year and Chevy is almost ready to unleash its next generation Cruze onto the market. Rumored to be larger, lighter, and more efficient than ever, Chevy wants to really take a hold of the compact car market with the 2016 Cruze. And while there’s much more speculation surrounding the new model, GM will officially unveil it at a special media event in Detroit on June 24, 2015.

Meet Your Product Specialist

Where most dealerships still rely on salespeople to bring in customers, Dan Cummins Chevrolet takes a different approach, and one that’s been very successful. Instead of calling our sales reps. “salespeople,” we want customers to know that they’re more than just a friendly face hoping to get commission on your purchase.

We truly want our people to know what they’re selling so that customers don’t come in armed with more knowledge. Because that’s what happens at most dealerships today. You come in armed with research and determination, only to be given the slow sales pitch from someone who knows less about the vehicles than you do. Nothing kills a great car shopping experience quicker than that.

So our people are trained to help you learn as much new information as possible about your vehicle of choice in order to guide you through the process. We don’t believe in quick sales and easy money around here.

But on top of that, we also recognize that there are plenty of buyers that need the extra help learning about the incredible vehicles that Chevy has to offer, so we go above and beyond to make each and every customer feel welcome as they embark on their car buying Journey with the most trusted Chevy dealer in Lexington KY: Dan Cummins Chevrolet.

Customer Service is Our Top Priority

As a business, Dan Cummins fundamentally believes that great customer service is the path to success. Without it, there’s no point in getting up in the morning and getting dressed if you’re confident that customers won’t return because of poor service.

Luckily for us, we’re blessed with an incredible staff and customer base who absolutely trust us with their car maintenance, repairs, and come to us time and time again to purchase new and used vehicles.

So if you’re willing to do us the honor of giving us you’re business today or sometime in the near future, you can rest assured that we’ll go above and beyond to serve you unlike any other Chevy dealers Lexington KY has to offer.
