2017 Buick Verano Lexington, KY

The Verano is a relatively new addition to the Buick lineup, entering production in 2011 and designed to satisfy the needs of those wanting a more compact and lower-priced luxury car. With its sleek, sculpted shape and waterfall grille, it is an attractive and affordable sedan for those who crave the latest in luxury without the steep price tag. The 2017 Verano is sure to please sport sedan enthusiasts everywhere.

The base Verano comes with some impressive features such as 17-inch multispoke alloys with sterling silver finish, laminated solar-absorbing acoustic glass, daytime running lamps, halogen projector beam headlights, and power mirrors.

Next is the Sport Touring trim, which adds 18-inch machined alloy wheels with black pockets, halogen fog lamps, heated side mirrors, and a rear lip spoiler. Upper trim levels also unlock optional features such as a power moonroof and splash guards in the front and rear.

Finally, there’s the Leather trim package, which enhances the Sport Touring package. You get leather appointments in the cabin, 18-inch machined alloys with silver-finished pockets, and colored door handles with chrome strips. Options only available in this top trim level include a chrome front bumper grille and a rear spoiler.

All Veranos, regardless of trim, have the same engine. The 2.4-liter 4-cylinder motor features Spark Ignition Direct Injection and VVT (variable valve timing). This engine manages a formidable 180 horsepower output and 171 lb.-ft. of torque.

The Verano’s performance begins at the pump with its impressive 31 miles per gallon on the highway. ECOTEC technology helps reduce emissions, further improving overall efficiency.

Handling is lively when driving the Verano, thanks to independent MacPherson strut suspension in the front and Z-link suspension in the rear.

StabiliTrak technology activates when the vehicle senses a difference between the intended and actual path, electronically adjusting brake and torque settings to tighten control and keep you on the road. This provides both a safer and more spirited ride.

Comfort is key in the Verano, and the base model includes dual-zone climate control, eight-way driver’s seat adjustment, six-speaker audio, ambient lighting, color-keyed front and rear carpeted floor mats, sill plates, electronic parking brake, and steering wheel controls for audio, phone, and cruise control.

All Veranos feature Buick’s exclusive QuietTuning technology, which reduces outside noise through a rigorous engineering process using such means as thermal and cold chambers, wind tunnels, and four-post shaker rigs straight out of NASCAR. Acoustic glass, added dash insulation, triple-sealed doors, and underbody paneling are just a few of the means used to give you a near-silent ride.

Safety Features

Buick is dedicated to providing the utmost in safety for both driver and passengers. Standard safety features include ten airbags, rear child door locks, LATCH child seat tethers, OnStar emergency assist technology, and tire pressure monitoring.

Many cutting-edge technologies are available as options. These include side blind zone alert, forward collision alert, lane departure warning, rear parking assist, rear vision camera, and rear cross-traffic alert.

If you live in a cold climate, your car must be ready to roll if an emergency strikes. The optional block heater available in all Veranos keeps your car ready for any situation.
