Performance With technology inspired by the C8.R race car and Le Mans prototypes, plus standard carbon ceramic brakes, the E-Ray is an awesome track car. It’s not only capable on the track, though. It was designed for year-round performance, whether the roads are covered in snow, rain, mud, or ice. Chevrolet added an electric drive unit on the front axle, making the Corvette E-Ray have incredible acceleration and impressive horsepower and torque. The E-Ray has an LT2 V8 engine, capable of up to 495 hp and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. With the e-AWD, you can get up to 655 hp. It also has eight equal-length intake runners of 210 mm to maximize torque and airflow. To ensure oil quality and flow to critical areas during high g-force cornering and acceleration, the Corvette uses a dry sump oil scavenge system with three pumps. The standard 8-speed dual-clutch transmission gives you high efficiency, lighting quick shifts, and shorter lap times by combining the smoothness of an automatic with the control of a manual. The variable Drive Style Index senses your driver inputs and responds with gear holds and downshifts when you expect them. The 1.9 kWh lithium-ion battery powers the electric drive unit that powers the front wheels. It’s self-charging and powers as you go. The E-Ray battery system includes an integrated power electronic system designed for maximum responsiveness, efficiency, and performance. If you want even higher performance, you can add the ZER Performance Package. It comes standard with high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S ZP summer-only tires. In addition, it has chassis tuning and other awesome performance enhancements. If you are worried about waking the neighbors, you can utilize Stealth Mode, which uses the electric drive unit to let you drive short distances at limited speeds using electric power to the front axles. Design The E-Ray combines functional design elements with attractive styling. Chevy added wider fenders, quarter panels, and fascia – adding up to a sleek, sculpted presence with several aerodynamic and performance benefits. It also has standard ground effects and a spoiler, contributing to its aerodynamic presence, while body-color accents provide a stylish look. The wheels were also redesigned with exclusive standard all-season tires, giving you a confident stance and impressive performance in all sorts of conditions. When paired with standard carbon ceramic brakes, your stops are precise. Chevrolet also redesigned the Corvette badging for the E-Ray, giving us a glimpse toward the incredible future of Corvette. Technology The awesome features do not stop at the exterior. The interior is full of modern technology, keeping you in the know while you’re on the go. With a standard Head-Up display, you can keep your eyes on the road while driving. Bigger and Bolder 2024 Chevrolet Trax
Chevrolet is continuing their commitment to affordable, stylish SUVs with the announcement of an exciting improvement to its lineup – the bigger, bolder, completely redesigned, all-new 2024 Chevrolet Trax. All trims will start under $25,000. The 2024 Trax will have clean, sleek lines, with a lower, longer, and wider architecture than before. If you want to know more about the stylish new Trax, keep reading. Performance Don’t be fooled by the small size of the Trax – it’s also capable of great performance. The 2024 Trax will offer a turbocharged 1.2L engine, capable of 137 hp and 167 lb. ft. of torque. It will come with a standard six-speed automatic transmission. It’s a perfect choice for those who are looking to save money at the fuel pump, as it has a GM-estimated 30 MPG fuel economy. Safety Every 2024 Chevrolet Trax will come standard with Chevrolet Safety Assist, which will help to keep you safe while driving on Lexington roads. Chevy’s intuitive safety assist includes forward collision alerts with automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warnings, a following distance indicator, and IntelliBeam high assist. The 2024 Trax will also come with a rear vision camera and teen driver technology. If you are not familiar with Chevrolet Teen Driver technology, it is an available system to help you coach your teen driver, even while you’re not in the car. It allows you to set a speed alert, a volume limit, and more. You can also view the industry’s first and only vehicle report card, which allows you to track your teen’s driving performance. According to the CDC, almost half of teen drivers and passengers from 16-19 years old who died in car crashes in 2019 were unrestrained at the time of the crash. That is why Chevy developed the industry’s first Buckle to Drive feature, which doesn’t allow the driver to shift out of park for 20 seconds unless they buckle their seatbelt, with audible and visual alerts. This is essential, as teens and young adults often have the lowest seatbelt use rates. Teen Driver technology is easy to set up – just enter a PIN to access the Teen Driver menu on the infotainment system and register a key. When a driver uses that key, Teen Driver will turn on. Additional safety and driver assistance features will include available rear park assist and OnStar Safety and Security. OnStar can save you from a potentially life-threatening situation. If you’re in a crash, built-in vehicle sensors can automatically alert an OnStar emergency-certified advisor to help. Additional OnStar features include: Stolen Vehicle Assistance: Helps law enforcement to help locate and recover your stolen vehicle as soon as possible Crisis Assist: OnStar advisors can provide critical assistance, special routing, and contact with loved ones in the case of extreme weather, a natural disaster, or a similar crisis Turn-by-Turn Navigation: A OnStar advisor can give you turn-by-turn directions when you get lost. Roadside Assistance: In the case of a flat tire, running out of gas, or another emergency, an advisor can call roadside assistance for you. Emergency Services: If you spot a road emergency, or have one of your own, push the red button to connect with an OnStar emergency-certified advisor. They can direct first responders to your location and help until they arrive. With all these amazing safety features, you will never have to worry about safety while driving in the 2024 Chevrolet Trax. Interior The 2024 Chevrolet Trax is bigger and bolder, and that includes the interior. Chevy's Cutting-Edge Driver Assistance Technology: Super Cruise
Imagine driving your Chevy vehicle down the road after a long day of work or taking care of the kids and getting to relax by taking your hands off the wheel. That’s now a possibility with Super Cruise, Chevrolet’s cutting-edge hands-free technology. With more than 200,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada, Super Cruise works on most major roadways and can get you to your destination safely and easily. You might be wondering: how does it work? How do I turn it on? Where can I purchase a Chevy with Super Cruise? Keep reading to find out. How does Super Cruise work? The Super Cruise driver assistance technology is the industry’s first truly hands-free technology. It uses precision LiDAR map data, real-time cameras, sensors, and GPS to maintain control. Super Cruise determines the vehicle’s location by using GPS with real-time corrections and map data, while the Lane Sensing Camera detects the lanes on the road, helping the vehicle to steer and stay in the correct position. The Adaptive Cruise Control system accelerates or decelerates your vehicle based on surrounding traffic conditions and keeps a driver selected between you and the vehicle and front of you, even in a traffic jam. When you turn Super Cruise on, Super Cruise uses a Driver Attention system that detects your head and eye positioning and monitors the system status. If it detects a problem or inattention, it will instruct you to steer manually or pay attention to the road. Super Cruise is only available on compatible roads – usually ones that are separated from traffic going in the opposite direction. You can find these roads by visiting https://www.chevrolet.com/electric/super-cruise. Super Cruise requires cell reception and a GPS signal. Once the trial period ends, it also requires an eligible Connected Services plan. How do I activate Super Cruise? If you’re on a compatible road, you can engage Super Cruise by following these steps: Make sure that Adaptive Cruise Control is on. If it is not, press the Adaptive Cruise Control button on the steering wheel to turn it on. A green symbol with a speed should appear on the instrument cluster. When Super Cruise detects you are on a compatible highway and paying attention, and all other driving conditions are met (lane markings showing, GPS available, no system faults, etc.) the Super Cruise symbol will illuminate in white on the instrument cluster. When it’s safe, press the Super Cruise button on the steering wheel to engage Super Cruise. The Super Cruise symbol and steering wheel light bar will illuminate in green when Super Cruise begins to steer the vehicle. If Super Cruise is on and the symbol and steering wheel light bar are blue, Super Cruise is not steering. Position the vehicle in the center of the lane until they appear in green. Once Super Cruise is in control of the steering, your hands can be taken off the steering wheel. The vehicle can be steered manually at any time. When Super Cruise is engaged, the Forward Collision system will be set to the Alert and Brake setting. The current speed will be the set cruise speed used by Super Cruise if an Adaptive Cruise Control speed was not previously set. To disengage, press the Super Cruise button again, press the brake pedal, or pull the Regen-On-Demand paddle. If you need to change lanes, you can steer the vehicle manually anytime Super Cruise is turned on. For Super Cruise to begin steering again, bring the vehicle to the center of the lane until the light bar turns green. You can find these steps and additional information about Super Cruise in your vehicle’s Owner’s Manual. Will the availability expand in the future? Why Should I Reserve a Silverado EV?
If you want to drive an electric vehicle, but do not want to sacrifice the utility of a truck, the Silverado EV would be an amazing choice for you. It will hit roads in 2024, but you can reserve yours today with Dan Cummins. The Silverado EV uses General Motor’s advanced Ultium EV platform, giving it versatile capability, powerful performance, and intuitive technology. The vice president of Chevrolet, Steve Hill, called the Ultium Platform a “critical enabler of next-level pickup truck performance for both fleet and retail customers, whether they are currently driving a Silverado or are considering a pickup for the first time.” Whether you are looking to add an EV to your commercial fleet or have an EV truck to drive on Lexington streets, let’s do a deep dive into the features that make this game-changing truck so desirable. 2024 Silverado EV RST Silverado EV Range and Charging Chevrolet estimates that the Silverado EV will have a range of up to 400 miles. Charging is made easy due to public DC fast-charging technology – adding 100 miles of range in only 10 minutes. When combined with the available accessory power bar, the Silverado will offer up to 10 outlets, providing a total of 10.2kW. You can use this to power almost anything, including your home. You can also charge another EV using the available accessory charge cord, allowing you to share your power when someone else is in need. If you’re looking to purchase the Silverado EV as a work truck, you’ll gain access to the Ultium Charge 360 Fleet Service. This service offers one of the most all-inclusive charging solutions in the industry for businesses. If you want to use the Silverado EV as a personal vehicle, you will have Ultium Charge 360, designed to give you access to more than 100,000 charging points in the U.S. and Canada and simplify the charging process. Game-Changing, Powerful Performance You’ll be happy to learn that buying an all-electric truck does not mean you have to sacrifice powerful performance. The Silverado EV is powered by two electric motors, giving it up to a booming 664 hp with more than 780 lb.-ft. of torque. GM estimates this will give a 0-60 mph time of fewer than 4.5 seconds. That’s undeniably fast. The RST model will have adaptive air suspension to help you comfortably maneuver over any terrain you encounter. It will automatically adjust your suspension to the road conditions, resulting in a non-bumpy ride. This feature can also adjust the height of your vehicle, helping you to enter and exit the vehicle easier. The Trail Boss trim will add locking differentials and all-terrain tires, making your next off-roading adventure on a Kentucky trail even easier. Chevrolet will also offer an electric four-wheel drive system, capable of delivering torque to all four wheels almost instantaneously, and four-wheel steering for a tighter turning radius. The Silverado EV will have you covered if you want to be able to tow your boat to a nearby Kentucky lake. The RST trim will have a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 lb. and the WT will have 8,000 lb. max towing. Each capacity is more than enough for your adventures, but Chevrolet has also teased a maximum towing capacity of 20,000 lb. for the 2025 model. A Modern, Luxurious Interior The interior of the Silverado EV has an all-new look. As soon as you step into the Silverado EV, it will recognize you through a device and turn itself on. The traditional dash of the Silverado has been replaced by a sloping dash and two huge screens – an 11” driver information screen and a 17” infotainment system. The EV will also have a heads-up display with a 14” field of view. It will still have some physical buttons for the driver’s ease of use, including the volume and HVAC controls. Chevrolet did not fall short on storage for the Silverado EV. They mounted the shifter stalk to the column, allowing for a massive seven-gallon storage bin between the dashboard and the middle armrest. Because there is nothing under the hood, Chevrolet added an e-trunk – a lockable, weatherproof compartment to fit whatever you need to keep safe. The rear seat was moved forward from the traditional Silverado, helping to ensure anyone over six feet tall will still be comfortable in the back seat and have plenty of legroom. Back seat passengers also have their own HVAC system and heated seats on the RST trim. The Silverado EV has a fixed glass roof, which lets you have a full view of the sky, while also being protected from UV and heat from the tinted glass and improving outward visibility. The traditional leather choices were dropped and replaced by sustainable and easy-to-clean materials such as vinyl and PVC. A Futuristic Exterior The Silverado EV truly looks like a truck of the future. It has an attractive, aerodynamic design that gives it one of the lowest drag coefficients of any available production full-size pickup truck. It will be available exclusively in Crew Cab models, which has a short front overhang, giving it more spaciousness on the interior and better forward down vision. The bed is 5’11” on the RST with the multi-flex midgate, with four 120-volt AC outlets and one 240-volt AC outlet, making the truck bed truly useful and functional. When you add the available Multi-Flex tailgate, you can get even more space in the truck bed, with the storage capability going up to 10’10”. A tonneau cover is also available, which allows items to be loaded into a lockable, weatherproof storage compartment. With the functionality, plus the futuristic design of the exterior, you will ride in style in the Silverado EV, no matter if you’re on a Lexington/Louisville city street or a country road in Kentucky. 2024 Silverado EV RST Innovative Infotainment System and Technology The Silverado EV does not disappoint when it comes to technology. The dash is mostly digital, with a 17” diagonal LCD freeform infotainment screen and an 11” reconfigurable driver information center. The infotainment system has Google apps, navigation, and natural language voice commands built in. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, with in-dash navigation, Sirius XM satellite radio, and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot. The Silverado EV will get frequent software updates through Ultifi, a new Linux-based software program developed in-house at GM. This software will allow the driver to keep their vehicle up to date in a flexible and fast way. 2024 Silverado EV RST Revolutionary Hands-Free Technology The Silverado EV also has GM’s Super Cruise, which allows you to drive hands-free on more than 200,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada. It functions using Chevrolet Connected Services and uses a real-time positioning camera, sensors, and LiDAR map data to locate curves in the road. It also includes a multitude of driver assistance tech, including adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and lane centering. The Trax gives you even more storage in a tray under the rear floor and the front passenger under-seat drawer on the LT.
