Spring is upon us, so you should expect some great springtime events in Kentucky. Car lovers like you will be happy to know several car-related events are occurring this season in Kentucky, so be sure to jot down your favorites.
- Spencer Co. High School Car Show
On April 15th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can enjoy the Spencer Co. High School Car Show in Taylorsville, Kentucky. Registration is $10 and starts at 9:30 a.m. Registration comes with a free goodie bag.
Awards will start at 2:30 p.m. You can enjoy food starting at 11 a.m. You can learn more about the car show here.
- Cars & Coffee
The next event we recommend you attend this spring is Cars and Coffee in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. This fun car show will have giveaways, free coffee, and donuts.

- KSP Classics Customs and Cruisers Car Show
The next event on this list is the First Annual Classics Customs and Cruisers Car Show, put on by the Kentucky State Police at Great Crossing High School on April 29, 2023. Registration is only $10 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., and the show is from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Awards will include:
- Best GM
- Best Ford
- Best Mopar
- Best Truck
- Best Engine
- Best Interior
- Best Paint
- Best of Show
- Trooper’s Choice
- And more!

- Cave City Cars and Coffee
The fourth event we recommend this spring is the Cave City Cars and Coffee event. Once a month, car enthusiasts gather in downtown Cave City to show off their prized vehicles. The theme changes each month – April is Mustang Mania, May is the Corvette Showcase, etc. They have some awesome prizes; for example, the winner gets a custom award from Rustic Revival and $250 in gift cards.
Coffee will be served at the event by Tin Roof and Honey’s Coffee Co., and food will be provided by local food trucks. You can find out more info here.
- Corbin Rod Run
The last event we recommend you attend this spring is the Corbin Rod Run on April 21-22 in Corbin, KY. It’s open to all trucks, years, makes, and models. There will be a Top 50 Award, including a Best of Show Award. There will also be a special guest appearance by TV Celebrity The Moonshiners. You can learn more about the event here.
