The new 2016 Chevy SS sedan is sporting some serious exterior enhancements, sure to drive current SS sedan lovers to their Chevy Lexington dealer in droves.

The Chevy SS – Always in Style

Ever stylish, the 2016 Chevy SS is stepping up its superficial surface.

Starting with the front fascia, Chevy has redesigned the vertical ducts on the outside edges, which allows air to flow over the openings on the front wheels, enhancing aerodynamic efficiency overall.

In addition to improved aerodynamics, check out the brand new, Chevy-signature LED lighting and new hood vents.

 

Chevrolet’s Performance Car marketing manager, Todd Christensen, explained that “The 2016 SS design changes more fully express the true driving character of the sedan while further enhancing the car’s overall performance.”

Not to worry though, the 2016 Chevy SS sedan will still present the same inner beauty and performance as before.

Equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine, the 2016 SS generates an SAE-certified 415 horsepower and 415 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or the available six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Also new for the 2016 model year, the SS gets a new dual-mode exhaust system, which returns a hushed performance at decreased engine speeds, while also creating a more robust note from the engine when engaged in open-throttle.

The 2016 Chevy SS sedan also has new wheels, thanks to the addition of 19-inch alloys.

Pricing for the 2016 Chevy SS sedan has yet to be officially announced; however, you can expect to see the 2016 Chevy SS at dealerships sometime in early 2016, likely competitively priced against the 2015 SS sedan, which starts at $45,745.

Exterior colors will likely be based on the current model, which, if carried over, would include: Regal Peacock Green Metallic, Some Like It Hot Red Metallic, Jungle Green Metallic, Silver Ice Metallic, Red Hot 2, Phantom Black Metallic, Heron White, Perfect Blue Metallic, Alchemy Purple Metallic, and Mystic Green Metallic.

However, we also know that Chevy has added a new color in honor of this 2016 SS sedan makeover called Slipstream Blue.

Of course, the wait already feels too long because the refreshed 2016 SS looks like the ideal Chevy to turn heads in and “Find New Roads.”
