5 Features You’ll Love in Your Ram TRX
The 2023 Ram 1500 TRX is a beast. From its luxurious interior to its supercharged power, there is something for everyone to love in the TRX. The 2023 TRX is not only a powerhouse on the pavement; it also has off-roading and towing capability. To learn five awesome features in the 2023 Ram TRX, keep reading.
1. The 2023 Ram 1500 TRX is the quickest, most powerful pickup truck on the market.
Powered by a supercharged 6.2L Hemi V8, the 2023 Ram TRX is capable of tremendous speed and power. The monster of an engine can make up to 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, making the TRX the best-in-class for each category.
Four-wheel drive comes standard on the TRX. When the engine is paired with a paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission, the TRX goes from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.5 seconds.
The Ram TRX has a maximum towing capacity of 8100 pounds and is able to carry up to 1310 pounds of payload, making it a great truck to tow your toys to the lake or trails.
2. The Ram 1500 TRX is extremely comfortable to ride in.
Ram’s goal for the TRX was to develop an interior that is respectful of the powerful exterior – and they did just that. The interior of the Ram 1500 TRX is full of luxurious details and materials, as well as the technology you expect of a premier vehicle.
All of the areas on the interior are designed with carbon fiber, adding to the tough, menacing look of the TRX. The seats have suede on the bolsters and a color accent behind the suede, and there’s a spec badge on the center console – all of which serve a dual purpose: functionality and aesthetic appeal. The center shifter is distinctive, with a manual shifting mode. The TRX also features a thick, flat-bottom steering wheel with awesome paddle shifters.
The high-definition Uconnect 5C NAV touchscreen is at the center of the dash, with a suite of performance and off-road pages, a customizable home screen, Ram Connect, and more.
The interior also has a Head-Up display, helping you to view your speed, incoming calls, and turn-by-turn navigation, without taking your eyes off the road. You can see behind you easily with the available Digital Rearview Mirror, which provides a real-time video stream from the rear-facing camera.
3. The TRX is the only truck to offer the Bilstein Black Hawk e2
As the most sophisticated shock system in its class, the 22MY shock system is designed around the extreme performance needs of the TRX. It monitors vehicle sensors and continuously adapts to speed, throttle position, braking torque, steering angle, and more.
The following Bilstein parts work together to make the TRX have tremendous performance:
- Dual-Valve Technology: Allows the system to infinitely adjust both the compression and rebound forces at each shock absorber. The system tailors the signal being sent to each of the eight valves on the TRX.
- High-pressure stainless steel braided hose: Allows hoses to withstand temperatures up to 275 degrees Fahrenheit, accommodate pressures over 5800 psi, and protect against abrasion and corrosion using a braided stainless steel outer later sealed with a metal-to-metal process.
- Remote Reservoirs: Frees up room in the shock absorber for piston rod travel, allowing for extreme suspension articulation. Each charge is fueled by a pressurized nitrogen gas charge in an independent remote reservoir.
- Zone Control Jounce Cut Off: Prevents bottoming out by engaging a secondary piston as the shock absorbers approach full compression after a hard landing. This hydraulic cushion technology was made specifically for the TRX.
4. The TRX has a menacing stance on the road.
The 2023 Ram TRX sits eight inches wider than the 2023 Ram 1500, helping you to stand out on Lexington roads. The 35-inch tires and available bead-lock-capable wheels make it possible for the TRX to trad through any terrain with control and stability.
The TRX also features distinct LED amber identification lamps, that when paired with the TRX functional hood scoop make your presence known.
If you look at the grille of the 2023 TRX, you will notice the RAM badge. Not only does it add to the distinctive character of the truck, but its air-induction system also delivers up to 32.9 liters of air per minute to the engine – filtering four times as much dirt and debris as the Ford Raptor.
5. The TRX is ready for all your off-roading adventures.
The TRX has 11.8 inches of ground clearance, 13 inches of front suspension travel, and 14 inches of rear suspension travel, making it great for your next trail ride in the Kentucky countryside.
It also features Selec-Speed Control, which applies engine torque and brake pressure to keep speed consistent while traversing difficult trails. All you’ll have to focus on is steering.
The eight different performance-tuned drive modes help to provide the best horsepower, gear ratio, and torque split for specific driving conditions and terrain.
